Responsible gaming
Play bold, and play within your limits
A good night at the tables is one you would be happy to repeat. Velquora Casino Hotel wants every guest to leave the floor on their own terms, so here is how we help.
Age
Guests must be 21 or older to enter the gaming floor, the poker room and the high-limit salon. Photo ID is checked at every entrance, every time.
Set a limit before you sit down
Decide how much time and money the night is worth before your first hand, and keep to it. Any casino host can set a daily spending or time limit on your player card at your request, and it takes effect immediately.
Take a break or step away
Guests may ask to be excluded from the gaming floor for a day, a month, a year or permanently. Speak to a host or the front desk in confidence. Self-exclusion also removes you from any gaming offers by mail or email.
Signs to watch for
- Playing longer or spending more than you planned.
- Chasing losses or borrowing to keep playing.
- Hiding how much you play from people close to you.
- Play that has stopped being fun.
Confidential help, any hour
If you or someone you know needs support, call 1-800-GAMBLER. The line is free, confidential and open 24 hours a day. Our hosts can also connect you to local counselling services on request.
Our commitment
Staff on the floor are trained to recognise problem play and to offer help without judgement. No guest will ever be pressured to keep playing, and no offer from this hotel is conditional on gaming.
